FILTHY hallways and rooms, stained walls and carpets . The people hanging around the hotel were shady looking, hookers and street people. the staff at the "fine dining " restaurant were condescending and rude, will never stay at this dump again!
The Northgate Motor Inn needs to be updated badly. At $95 it is very poor value for a run down hotel.
The hooker knocking at the door, the dirt in every corner of the room.
It was a good price.
You placed us by the stairwell and heard people running up the stairs all night.
The window opened
I was put in a smoking room when I reserved a non smoking I requested a microwave and didn't get one No tea available in the am, just coffee
Peeling paint and poorly cleaned hallways. Also a T.V. channell guide would have been handy.
Carpet was dirty One of the exit doors of the hotel room didn't work and it never got fixed during the five days I stayed even though I mentioned it the first day I was there.
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
The open parts of the floors in the room were clean, however, around the beds and along the sides had not been properly vacuumed. Also the box spring sheets looked to not have been changed for awhile as there were marks on it. I informed the front desk staff of these two items.
not A thing not A thing
lighting was very poor, rug was dirty, bedding didn'T seem ed it was changed when the last person stayed there, room had A bad odor plus it smelled smokey. would never never stay yhere again even if they paid me.
It was clean & quiet.
It had a TV with cable but no am/fm radio with alarm.
Grungy, entire room needed a more thorough cleaning.
Comfortable beds. Close to university.
rough looking from the outside made me nervous about staying there.
It was okay. It is in a noisy area of town.
The pass card didn't work half the time to get the doors open. I booked as a senior and was given an upstairs room when there was vacancies downstairs. There was lots of open garbage laying around outside with cats and gulls hanging around. The restaurant is designed for the wealthy and you had to travel to get something to eat. The stairways were not vacuumed the whole time as there was the same dirt there on the day we left as there was on the day we arrived. There was candy wrappers behind the night table in our room when we asrrived and still there when we left.
It was quiet. Beds were comfortable. Linens, beds and towels were clean and fresh.
A little surprised to see that there was absolutely nothing in the room for amenities other then the beds and the TV. No clock radio, no fridge, microwave etc.or even lamps . Beds were clean, but carpet and chairs were stained. Linens were well worn and should be replaced.
The location was easy to get to. The staff were helpful and kind. The restaurant on site was wonderful. The food was over the top delicious. The beds were very comfortable. Our room was free of any smoke smell and we where confident that no one had smoked at anytime in it. Although we had some concerns we felt the motel is one that we will visit again when we travel to Saskatoon.
The motel could use updating in their rooms and the cleaning staff need to dust daily. Our bathroom had black around the tub which can indicate mold but could also have been previous paint or rubber molding. We don't smoke and so it was a little worrying to walk down a hall that smelled strongly of smoke before getting to our room. If there was some way of keeping the hall smelling fresher it would have been better.
